Funerals

Christian funerals are services of comfort and hope, grounded in the promise of Christ’s victory over death. The Lutheran Church–Canada teaches that through Baptism we are united with Christ in His death and resurrection, and that those who die in the faith rest securely in His care. A funeral service proclaims God’s promises, gives thanks for the life of the departed, and offers the comfort of the Gospel to all who mourn.
